New requirements introduced by the SA Department of Home Affairs for additional documentation required by persons aged under 18 years for travel to and from SA will be implemented on 1 October 2014.

The requirement for an unabridged birth certificate for children travelling with parents will assist in ensuring the safety of children, including their protection from child trafficking, abduction and kidnapping.
